What did you do? 

I picked 4 song and I performed them as if i was in a gig as when the class did it. I wasn't in under circumstances however i was able to pick four songs and these are the song i performed 

1. Dance Monkey - Tones and I 
2. Fireflies - Owl City
3. Good Time - Owl city and Carly Rae Jepsen
4. Dollhouse - Melanie Martinez

What happened/What where the results?

1. The result of dance monkey was better than expected as i enjoy this song anytime I sing this song it makes me feel good as this is the song that i started to sing to other. It gave me confidence to sing. which made the song cleaner as i was confident to sing.   
2. The result of Fireflies was that this was a very easy song to learn as the melody repeats its self and the backing track is easy to follower i love fireflies as it an old classic which was another one i used to listen to as a kid. 
3. The results of good time is i tested myself with this song as it was two vocalist in the original song which next time if i ever come to do this song again i will be having another person with me to make this song clear  
4. The result of dollhouse was the best one yet i have ever done as this song represents what life it like and show everybody has a story about how life may make you think other people have got a better life however look through the curtains 

what did this imply and how did you inflence the outcome?

The result of all these song have shown what a confident singer i can be but i can do better and for next time when i given a similar unit to do i know to do more rehearsals and to get the lyric printed so by the time i come to do it it shall be a breeze and to pick song with just one vocalist as its just me. i influence this outcome as i picked song which i was familiar with and liked so it stays in your head  and you more likely to do better when it something you love and i love showing my love for the my passion which is music it self  

What will you differently?

What I will do differently next is give myself more time to rehearse all song get more picture of me rehearsing and what i used to help me with the production of my song this was a very fun unit and project however i will be in more when i come back

How did the project go, are you happy/unhappy with the outcome and why ?

I found project 8 very exciting getting to use logic pro and making my music sound professional. For the love of music especially the song I chose 'i will see you again, summertime sadness, closer and perfect strangers' it was hard as I had to learn the songs of by heart to give it my all. I am very happy however i know I can do better that is my next goal. The way i will improve for next time is to use my time more effectively and not rush to learn more about logic so next time I can write my own songs which i do in. my own personal time.

Did you get everything you planned to do in your project proposal done within the time You had and did you change any part of you project what was the reason and why?

I got everything except one song, this was Everessence as we only had a couple of days left and it was hard to time just right when others where in so instead i did perfect strangers, so i stuck to the time frame which helped me a-lot. When your doing collab it has got to be a team effort making teamwork and when personal circumstances effects it you have to think outside the box which i did and it helped me a-lot. that was the major change i did with my project. The rest of the project was on time and done to a professional level researching how to make it sound better and what I can do to make it better and showing all my evidence on my personal blog.

What was easy and what was difficult? why and how did you overcome any problems?

I found the singing easy what i found difficult was searching for the right song and putting it into youtube and sound-cloud as all my song where covers so unfortunately it had copyright claim so if it didn't upload one youtube i would upload to Soundcloud and also putting the music to the song it got easier after the second song but it was trial and error in the end i have three song which now have videos what i will do differently next time it to record video which i will put on my laptop then get a usb stick to transfer to collage laptop.

How did the research you carried out help you with your final project?

The research I carried out helped me understand the song and how the artist who wrote the songs came to make the song what emotions were put into the final song. which the I could use the same emotions in my songs which made it more professional and more emotions for people to listen to. that what music all about telling a story for someone to relate to.

What skills have you learned through this project and will you use these skills in future work, why ?  

The skills i have learned is when using logic pro i can use the equaliser to silence the backing and just have my vocals to have it sound clear and professional with these skills i will be using them in the future with different projects i do and also i will be using the mic and the scarlet solo more as this was a much easier way to record me singing where as standing in front of the camera gets boring.

If you were to do this again what would you keep the same and what would change, why?

If i do this again what i will do is each week give myself a goal an with this goal make it priority to complete that task that week so it stops me from rushing and making mistakes it will give. me more leeway to make sure its polished to a better standard. what i will keep the same is after each song i will complete the blog so i can have a conclusion each song and know what i can do better and what went well

How do you feel about your work now we are at the end?

I feel like my work is at a standard that i can be proud of and that in years to come look back and see i have done well and in such little time in circumstances i couldn't control. I have given this course in general a good shot

first thing i did was look up the song on youtube an listen to it a couple of times i knew this song 

as it was one of my favourite songs growing up 

 

The reason why I picked perfect strangers it was my favourite song of when I was in secondary school 

i used the scarlet solo with logic pro but with the microphone 

i had to go into another room as the computer room was very loud so i didn't get feedback from around me 

in he end i did the song a couple of takes which i will link in the blog and then i did try to upload the last piece i had however i couldn't as it was copyrighted instead i uploaded it to youtube and making this video I used adobe. 

what went well the song itself i did very well and that is because i used to listen to the song growing up and its like riding a bike when you learn it once you cant forget it know using logic pro really made a difference to my song making it more professional and all the hard work worth it

 Closer by the chainsmokers

The first task is  was listen to the song and watch the video to gain some tips which i can use which i went on youtube and got the video 

  

the got the lyrics to learn the lyric on the weekend i recorded videos for the song to use with the song 

with this when i came in on the Tuesday i recorded my vocals on logic pro and since i recorded it i have been editing the song making it sound clear and professional  using reverb 

i couldn't upload my song to sound cloud for copyright claim so i have only been able to upload it to youtube

The third song I have picked is summertime sadness and the reason i picked this song is because it has helped me through a lot of bad patches i have had. firstly I got the song off youtube which i will link in the post and I printed the lyrics 

secondly I listened to the full version and the instrumental trying to sing each time with the instrumental. getting better to not look at the lyric what i am doing going to be doing with the song is recording my singing and then make a video on the beach to really create an atmosphere for the audience to really feel emotion grabs more people to listen.

After I sang I started recording videos which was at the beach myself in a red dress

I recorded car journeys over the weekend really making the aspects of home videos

showing the emotions that  may have felt I used adobe to put all the videos 

together then i aded the song however on Thursday i will be using logic to tidy up

summertime sadness making it clear so you can hear my voice and not open doors 

really polishing it 

   

i did try using logic to make the song clearer however my voice was to loud so what I am know doing 

is using the backing track which  had to convert the youtube video into mp3 by using

which now all I have to do is record the vocals

I have recorded the vocal and have spent 6 hour on logic pro testing vocal and different presets but i have finally found one which work great with my voice and the song 

 

after doing the logic pro i downloaded the song which i have put up to sound cloud

Why did you pick these songs?

1. I chose I will see you again as growing up I dealt with a lot off loss this song shows grieve and emotions with any song you want to be able to relate to music it helps as the message is i will se you again just not now that there always by your side.
2.  I chose closer as this song is all about meeting someone who makes you a better person who makes you feel you I love this song as I use to sing it when I was younger it a song that i enjoyed bring back a lot of happy memories which is what music all about.
3. I  chose  summertime sadness as many people can relate to this song as we all get summertime sadness as we know summer does last long 
4. I chose bring me to life as this song also got me through a lot of dark times a lot of the lyrics can be relatable for many people especially transitioning from adolescence to when we become young adults as life can be hard

1. I will see you again was written by Shelly Poole , Andy Hill. how are you going to perform and it this like the artist performance?

1. I will see you again performed by the WestLife they performed  in a line of four and all holding mic on the stage i tried to recreate this but not on a stage i wanted a natural background showing you can be grieving for anyone in any place

2. closer was a video of a couple on a road trip with lyrics over the top but you can see they where trying to tell a story which in my video m going to try to recreate this but at the beach myself and try to really stand out

The first song for my unit 8 assignment is I will see you again westlife i absolutely love this song as there are a lot of emotions that goes in to this song which can be relaid by another singer when they have experienced loss there self in a way it make people feel good as yes you will see that person again first of all i printed out the lyrics for the song and listened to the song when they came in for each line to prep myself for the final performance not using the lyrics

I used the pa system in which i had learned how to use at the start of this year and only the backing track was used and micro phone 

I listened to the song as many times as I could before performing the performance. I was going for was a natural performance as if you where performing on stage and my attire is punk rocker which i love the ascetic just showing the real me

 what i found tricky about this song was the chorus changed each time it went on it was hard to get the chorus in the right order it just made me go through it more but this gave me chances to really get it right
